I'm leaving for college soon, tomorrow actually, and I've been quite bored lately. So that's why I drew this. No idea how this came to my mind, but I needed something simple to change my mind. With the packing all done, I was about to go nuts by sitting there and doing nothing. Instead of starting a game of FF7 that I couldn't finish, then I drew this.Ok, Rufus was boring to color. And Dark Nation as well. I found a way to keep my white clean, and it helped.
Since I don't exactly know what kind of specie Dark Nation is supposed to be, I took some liberty with the anatomy.
And if you're wondering, they're in Junon. Rufus is (not so patiently) waiting to get his title of President.

Oh, I do love Dark Nation and Rufus together. He had to have someone to talk to through the hard times and what better than a pet. After all, the rest of his family would suck.
Dark Nation is so pretty. More feline here than you usually see but it is so awesome.

I had no idea how to draw Dark Nation. I'm not exactly sure what kind of creature it is supposed to be. (On a 13 inch TV, hard to see XD)
Too bad he didn't have Dark Nation in AC. I'd love to see it.

Most people draw him moure like a guard hound but I see the feline in it. The pixilated version doesn't help all that much.
I like seeing the interpretation of the animal.

At first I thought it was simply a black panther, until I saw the strange tail-like thing behind its head. So to me, Dark Nation was always kind of feline XD That's why I would have liked to see it in AC, just to truly know what kind of creature it is.

Yeah, it would be nice if they showed Rufus with a new pet when he was in the wheelchair... I like that image!
But alas they did not.
I thought it a panther to. I think it is some sort of mix of the two.
I wish you didn't have to kill it in the game. I just like to think that it was knocked out. Just for my own liking.

Me too! Maybe Kadaj would have understood that messing with Rufus was a bad idea if he had another panther/hound thing by his side.
I also like to think that Rufus keeps Dark Nation longer than in the game. He basically gets off the helicopter and gets his pet killed right away...

D'awww Rufus. I was quite fond of him, for like, 2 seconds, before he turned out to be a royal brat. A pretty brat though, nonetheless.

He annoyed me to no end as well. I found him to be more of a bother than Sephiroth. At least he wasn't making long speeches and hair flips every five seconds. I agree, he's a pretty brat though XD
