“I sit back quietly, and rather helplessly as I watch the seasons change ever so slowly. Time drifting farther and farther from within my grasp. I take notice of those around me as they too change ever so slowly, also drifting further and further away from me. We all grow older through time, we all have made our mistakes in life, but we have all learned to go beyond the flaws we once have commit at some time period in our young lives. We all adapt to this vastly changing world we call our home, but the one thing that will never change, is my love for her, a bit naïve at times and seemingly reluctant to my affectionate advances towards her, Pain will always remain by his side…never my own…” He closed his eyes and breathed deeply to himself as he stood amongst the once lush field of grass where he and his friends had frolicked all through the summer.

Chandler opened his eyes revealing a glimmering shine against his sky blue eyes that stood out from his brown face, they were wet with tears as he thought more about the one who he longs to be with.
For some odd reason Chandler always becomes depressed and gloomy during the fall and winter months, so he seems withdrawn and often moody.

“Where did Chandler go?” Pain asked Gage with a hint of concern on her face, her tiny ears laid slightly back with apprehension.

Gage looked to her with a flat expression and shrugged his shoulders. “I dunno, maybe he went to sulk some more, seems that’s all he’s been doing lately. And you guys thought I was the moody one, wow…” He looked off sarcastically and rolled his eyes.

Pain’s expression seemed irritated by his lack of concern for their friend, her nostrils became tight and small wrinkles creased her muzzle. “Never mind, I’ll go find him myself!” She said with a putout tone as she trot off, flagging her long gray tail as she faded into the distance. He watched nonchalantly out of the corner of his eye, trying not to seem eager.

“Stupid Gage not caring about Chandler!” She mumbled to herself as she cantered towards the woods.

Though trying not to seem like a stalker, G-Money followed several yards behind her, making his steps as quietly as he could so she wouldn’t suspect he was behind her. She never paid much attention to her surroundings, so he knew he was safe in doing so.

Once Pain made her way to the woods she was relieved to see Chandler standing alone near a small clearing. He had a glum look about his face, until he looked and saw her trotting happily towards him. He returned to his usual cheerful expression when she met up with him.

“Pain! What are you doing here?” He asked curiously. His ears perked forward eagerly.

“I was worried about you, you had been gone for several hours so I decided to come looking for you.” She explained a bit winded from her long canter to the woods. “I’m so very happy you’re okay!” She slimed into his eyes and nuzzled his neck gently, replicating how a human would hug one another.

He blushed, but nuzzled her back softly. “I’m glad you came…” He said in a low tone that was almost a whisper.

“Hrrm” grumbled G-Money under his breath as he watched, hidden by the trees. “Pain is so innocent, I know he would take advantage of her because of it.” He thought to himself as he continued to watch from behind the trees.

The background nearly killed me on this one, and it still came out looking like crap, lol. Oh well, I tried. xD I drew a new tree brush, which obviously sucks, but that's okay. I'm going to work on making them better one of these days. So for the meantime just pretend they look ok, haha, jk!

I wanted to capture Chandler's emotional side, which rarely comes out for him, seeing as he is normally so jovial and happy all the time. He seems like nothing can bother him. This shows that he too can feel sadness.
