Designs to go along with the ideas I have for what happened to the Halloweentown residents before they were there.

Sally’s is a little vague, but that’s ‘cause I wrote hers first, the others get a bit more detailed later on, Sally's was just a quick idea to begin with:

My brain started thinking about Sally, and then I started thinking about the residents of Halloweentown being there, after-death, somehow, as sort of an afterworld, and pre-death, Sally had fallen/jumped/whatever out of a window or something, and had broken pretty much everything, and got badly torn up, and so when she woke up in Halloweentown, she came back as a ragdoll, so she could be easily sewn back together, should that ever happen again.

He was a total outcast, and barely got any attention from his parents, who didn’t even care when he ate, or remembered to feed him/teach him how to cook, half the time, so he was starving, both literally and for attention, because there’s usually the person at school that’s ‘the gloomy kid’. He wasn’t even known as that, no one even recognized him, and one day he just faded away….

So when he woke up in Halloweentown, he was a skeleton, so he wouldn’t have to worry about being hungry ever again, and he was the King of Halloween, so that everyone would finally know him and love him as the wonderful person he was.

To begin with, they’re orphans, so they could have very well been dealt the same hand of fate as Jack, but luckily, the three of them were about to be adopted (not by the same people, but families that lived pretty close to each other, so they wouldn’t be altogether separated).

A few days before Halloween, they had gone to the costume shop, with a bit of money to buy some small additions (their masks and props) for their Halloween costumes, but it had started storming as they were heading back to the orphanage, where their bags were almost packed, so they could leave (they were going to go trick or treating in their new neighborhood with their new parents, since they were being picked up later that day).

They were just a few blocks away from the street the orphanage was on, when a car came squealing out of nowhere, the driver unable to see very well because the rain was very heavy, and visibility was low, and couldn’t stop quick enough.

A few loud screams of terror, a sickening thud, the masks tearing into pieces on the ground under the wheel, and then they too were in Halloweentown.

Now, since they missed what was supposed to be their most special Halloween yet, they relish in the ability to play pranks on people and run around in their costumes, and have the time of their..er…lives..

and now adding on from that, with some newer additions to it, thanks to my friends/my brain:

Jack and Sally used to be together, she took care of him a lot, invited him over for dinner, and made sure he was at least somewhat healthy.
When she died, he slipped back into how he used to be, and didn't want to feel like a bother and a leech to her parents, so he stayed away from them until he too passed on.

Unfortunately, when they entered Halloweentown...she remembered him... but he didn't remember her.

The cat that Sally is petting during her song is a cat the two of them raised together, having found it wandering alone in the streets with no identification and no one willing to claim it.
It ran off shortly after both of them were gone.

Prior to her death, she attended a school centered around crafts, having become rather astounding at sewing, which transitioned into her after-death form.
