Ok I just finished this when they said that Hurricane Lane was going to make landfall so i wanted to post it just in case.

This one was one that took quite a while to do because the inspiration for it was a pain. I wanted to do a rain forest painting for sometime but the inspiration was not coming. Only slowly but surely did the image slowly come to. When it was done I felt sucked into it but how I had everything wanting to go into that entrance.

Any how Menehune is the Hawaiian version of pygmy and leprechauns but unlike both they are considered both good and evil and are also revered for their building skills. They say that spirits march through the forests considered the home of the Menehune. So residents show respect when they enter. Nightmarchers or parade of ghosts also trot through these forests and they say if you look at them and are on their path you die. The only way you can live is if you have relatives who are now marching in these parades. They will push you to safety saving your life. They also adore babies and good music and are often seen playing with babies when they march past a nursery.

So anyhow I hope you enjoyed this painting I sure did when doing it. Done in Acrylics with 24x48 Canvas pad.
