Rock was probably hurt more, though, he was lucky that he was hit by the anchor while he was using Living laser.

Reading that brought up a question. If Rock is hit while in Living Laser, would that take bars out of his health or the weapon itself?

I damages Rock directly. Usually Rock should be invulnerable while using the attack, but it can be violently interrupted like demonstrated here.
