Description A 1:24 Hasegawa kit of a VW Beetle, which I could turn into a Belgian cop, Japanese or even a Swiss firebrigade.
This Bug is going to my uncle this weekend (who's a huge Beetle enthusiast and he owns a Beetle himself). He also attended to become a police officer, but due to a medical thing didn't he pass the emissions.
However, I already put this pic on my facebook, and he already loves it! My next project is a Schwimmwagen, which is going to the same uncle.

This my 3rd VW I've built so far. Before this one did I had my hands on a Beetle/Fusca Convertible, and a Type 3 Transporter Westfalia.

Typ 3? The "square" one? MAN, I didn't even know there were models of that generation! It's much easier to find miniature models from T1 and T2...
The convertible...what year was it, more or less?

Yes, Revell released it many years ago as a normal people carrier, but the Westfalia version was released back in 2002 and it's still being available today!
It was a '67 model, but I've thrown it away since it constantly collapsed while only looking at it.

I also saw this baby...www.sunstarmodelcars.com/5204/… and freaked out. If only I had the way$... 1/12 scale, that's quite a size

I used to have an 1:18 '55 Beetle in my collection, which was maroon and also with whitewalls. (which I gave away to my cousin)

Yeah, he really was I've got 14 cousins and nieces (which are all younger than me) in total, but all of them admire me a lot
Especially when I gave my 3rd oldest nephew that Beetle for his 10th Birthday half a year ago. He treats it very well

It's also very good when someone takes good care of something we gave to that person...it makes us feel better, in a way.
