Meh... just felt like to post up something and (*dramatic gasp*) it isn't figure-related
This is actually the background of one of the final projects I'm currently working on for my art collage. There ARE figures in it -fantasy characters which aren't originally mine- but I removed them for personal reasons, to display just the background here.
I'm somewhat pleased with it. Though, the rocks / boulders doesn't seem to blend in well but, oh well
I tried to make a detailed moss or grass creepers, but end up looking something plain and flat.The foreground is a murky / muddy swamp pool.
Ramblings aside, ehh....enjoy

I kinda was, but not much now since....you know the "Finding Love" pic? My first attempt was actually directly on tablet and Photoshop, and once I was done making a decent line-art, I started fiddling on the effects and the next thing I knew Photoshop freezed up and it forced itself to shut-down without letting me save the line-art -and that left me seething furious and frustrated with it. Personally I liked how the first attempt turned out than the one I did in pencil after that (which is my 4th attempt with it) *sigh*
You might say something like "save your work-in-progress next time from the start", sure, I was aware of that but since I hadn't had much problem with the program in a long time, I almost forgot about that important bit -and so, alas, what I feared to happen came true when I least expect it
So, for the time being I'll stick to traditional pencil sketching until I get over my frustration with Photoshop (though, I'll have to colour that Bleach work-in-progress anyway, soon). Then and again, I'm not really sure if I'm "falling in love" with Photoshop or even Painter, to begin with

Oh? You nearly went into an art collage? I donno whether to say you're lucky or otherwise -since in my personal experience, it's kinda hellish.
But then, I suppose not ALL art collage/university are the same...but still I don't wanna take chances in moving to another (if possible) -I had had enough with what I've gone through with the one I'm in now. Moving up to university, after getting my diploma in collage, is out of my list of priorities.
