Yep, I make all my own patterns.Β :3Β I started with duct tape patterns, where you sculpt the plush shape you want in something like wadded up newspapers, and then "skin" it with cling wrap and duct tape, so the skin becomes a simple pattern, I found that was a good way to learn pattern shapes.Β These days I tend to just draw my patterns.

That's pretty cool. I've never heard of this technique. I'm very happy to have made this little guy today by modifying an existing toy.
Meet my Fears
I looked up "Bird plush" and this came up.Β In my art he also has raven wings at times so I was looking for a ref and might start on his wings soon with some black felt. I've drawn the shape already.Β I had no idea what I was doing when I made him and now I have no idea with the wings either but I will still try.

Do you have a clearer picture of the wings? I'm working on a small pair of plush wings myself but not sure how to pattern it. I've been looking at how other people have done it. (If you don't want to share, that's fine; I saw that your patterns/sewing are how you make money)

It's about a foot tall.Β It's already sold though, pretty much everything I make is a commission for somebody.Β I could make another one if you wanted to commission one, but my commission list is full for nearly a year so it would take a while.

Well, my slots are always open, just the length of the list of those who've already claimed one varies, is all.Β Right now it happens to be long, but by the time I've finished the ones on my list, there will be a whole new list of people who've claimed a slot meanwhile.Β So you might as well claim one now if you want one.Β I just need a small down payment to add you to the list. (Any amount will do really, it's just so the "I'll pay you tomorrow" folks who never do come through don't clog up my list.)
