There could be no better time of the year to introduce Rachel's mother and father!! For those who don't remember Rachel or are not acquainted with her yet she's the cutie in these~

Tricia and Hecter are the very definition of opposites attracting. Hecter, was always a nervous person, and a very boring average man for as long as he can remember, shy and quiet, he never would take risks in life and did as he was told and lived life by the numbers. The very idea of acting out or standing out in a crowd scares him silly. Tricia on the other hand is quite the character; every single day of her life she made sure to never take it for granted, and set out to live her life to the fullest. She always would say "Let's have some fun before we're dead!" and would constantly get herself into all sorts of trouble. Even at a young age Tricia was an extremely adventurous soul and wanted to experience as much in life as she possibly could, Tricia has always had a habit of jumping from person to person or hobby to hobby or party to party in an effort to experience as much as life can give her.

The two met each other for the first time in the sixties, at the time Tricia was involved in the hippie movement trying that out for a time, and was involved in a peace rally at a university. Hecter attended that school, and while on the way to his class Tricia jumped out of nowhere and went straight up in his face yelling all about what they were protesting about what they want yadda yadda, he was just scared HAHA. Tricia immediately started laughing astounded that someone could be scared by something so dumb, she grabbed him by the hand and dragged him into her protest group to have the stick in the mud dude live a little for a change.

And for the first time ever Hecter had some fun in his life... He was still scared though ahaha! What if I get arrested! What if I'm late for class! WHAT IF MY MOM SEES ME ON TV- but at the same time, there was a sense of excitement he felt coupled with that innate nervousness, and it was thanks to Tricia. After that day the two started to see each other frequently, Tricia saw him as sort of a project, thinking the dude could really use her help to break out of that shell he hides within. She'd constantly drag him around to the new groups and activities she'd partake in, her jubilant him nervous but secretly loving every minute of it.

This continued until the day they graduated, when it hit them just how long they'd been doing this. Four years. And the two realized something truly strange; the fact that they were actually still hanging out together, almost daily at that. All of her life Tricia had jumped from new experience to new experience or new friends to new friends but, Hecter was the very first person in her life she ever had truly felt, happy and content to be around, no matter what. Tricia also realized that, the two had not exactly just been friends all this time, somewhere along the line that line had been crossed and they'd fallen in love with one another. It was time for her to try a magical new experience in life. The two got married.

The two were the funnest couple ever, Hecter became a businessman with a very high paying salary which they used to travel the world and see amazing new things annually. Tricia was the vacation planner, and she'd always be picking things like climbing Everest, bungee jumping into canyons, safaris, just tons of amazing sights, Hecter still as publicly nervous while doing them as the day they met! They continued this tradition for twenty years of marriage, that night of their anniversary Tricia seemed different... She stated that he'd given her so many fun and amazing memories and experiences in life and no one could make her happy, but there's one thing that she's been thinking of trying for quite some time now but, was always afraid of committing too. It's not like most things in life she'd done, where it's a fleeting moment or temporary, it's something that requires commitment... Settling down, no more wild trips and excursions crossing the globe. She wanted to try being a mother.

I said prior that Tricia has a tendency to jump into new things constantly, when she would do these it was not half-assed, if she joined some sort of group or ideology for a time she would commit wholeheartedly to it and give it her all, thus she was intent on being the best most committed and loving mother possible. They ended up winding down in a small town to raise the baby (the same town Sharon and Ace live in nowadays) and within a few months, Rachel was born!!

Rachel was raised perfectly by the two, but when Rachel reached a certain age she seemed very strange, not at all like the other kids in her classes, she seemed to be seeing things, people, that no one else could see, would talk to herself almost all the time. Mom was horrified that perhaps she did something wrong, they were bad parents perhaps, she did everything she could took Rachel to countless child psychiatrists but no diagnosis really seemed to be correct, she finally just sat Rachel down and had her explain what she experiences to her and it was explicitly stated then what really was happening. Rachel was psychic and was communicating with ghosts. Hecter was mortified and fainted, Tricia took it well, she never thought much of spirits in the past but if it was required to be a mother of Rachel she'd do everything she could to be an expert in the field. She never truly believed in ghosts but she believes her daughter if she says she sees them, and that's all that matters. Tricia became a huge occultist, bought nearly every book out there pertaining to ghosts, that doesn't change the fact though that Tricia cannot see or interact with ghosts at all, only Rachel could. She just wanted to be a supportive mother, the two pulled Rachel out of school and homeschooled her, mom would encourage Rachel to be proud of her ability and to play with her spirit friends.

Those who know Rachel's story know where this leads... Badly, for everyone. Unfortunately a mother's undying love for her child, coupled with childish innocence and naivety cost the three of them their lives. Mom never could have known what true horrors she invited into their house when she encouraged her daughter's behavior, and Rachel was too sweet and kind to comprehend ghosts would ever be mean enough to bring her or her parents harm. A rather bad poltergeist 'befriended' Rachel eventually and got access to her via possession and used Rachel's body to kill her two parents.

Rachel still haunts the Mallory Manor, alone however, Mom and Dad are wherever ghosts go that don't stay here, Rachel doesn't know the answer to that question. She doesn't even seem to comprehend fully that they are dead nor herself for that matter. Rachel favors her mother not only in the looks department but personality as well, it's probably because Tricia spent the most time with her having been a stay-at-home mother and homeschooling. Rachel has her sparky personality and fun loving attitude, and commonly recites her mother's catch phrase of "let's have some fun before we die!", a rather cruel irony given her disposition.
