my professor told us on the first day to experiment with media uv never used before. in my case, that was watercolour. iv tried watercolour before, and HATED it!!! it was messy, hard and i just plain sucked at it!that was 4 years ago, way before i ever joined deviantart. reluctant as i was to once again pick up that watercolour set and brush, i found myself surprisingly enjoying the experience! omg watercolour is damn fun! i think i found a new stress reliever. the mixing, the versatility...
i believe it owe it to all the wonderful watercolour artists iv been watching here in deviantart are just a few. i guess i subconsciously picked up a tip or two from their stuff.
now i know this work isnt the most wonderful watercolour piece there is, but i dont care because i enjoyed making it, and of course there is that nice feeling of discovering something new.

It's very very good! Btw... Do you mind me asking how you use it? Did you draw the picture first and then use the watercolour on it or what?

i drew the pic with pencils first, then i inked it, then watercoloured it. i realized this was a mistake because the watercolours smudged some of the ink and blurred the outlines, so i had to ink it all over again. next time i will be smarter and colour before i ink

Man, if there's anything I hate it's painting! It's like soooooooo hard and yeah I told you anyone who paints scares me shitless right? Lol. This is cute btw, I like the mixing colours (which I can NEVER do because I'm scared of making sayang the paint).

i wish! no, iv done watercolours before, a few years ago. i gave up after a few tries cuz nothing came out the way i wanted it. this is my first try in a long time, but definitely not my first try ever!
