Some heroes start off with absolutely nothing, and are left with no choice but to work their way up from the bottom. And others come into life with the tools and skills needed to come into their own; how they handle that is on them.

Confident, roguish, dashing and goofy, Roberto de Anza is the son of two of the richest tycoons in Midnight City. He’s been given everything he could ever ask for and spent his formative years living the good life. One could say good for him, and rightfully so, yet fail to realize the man’s upbringing has left him empty; he’d call it a pit in his gut, a feeling he never earned the things he has. At some point, he thought giving the “helping people” career a try would fill that void, and his opportunity arose with the incident that transformed him into a Paradigm.

Now a proud member of the NightLighters, Roberto’s wit, bravery and charisma attracts friends like flies to a corpse, and he’s a standout role model for aspiring heroes. Sadly, if something seems too good to be true, it usually is; how this man ended up on a barely-functional team of losers and morons is anyone's guess. Though most of the Nightlighters love the life Roberto's presence brings, there still remain some who look at him with suspicion, unable to shake the feeling he has skeletons of his own...

Toolkit:
Roberto de Anza/Volcanitar is a heat-based Paradigm like Kota , but his powerset is focused around molten rock instead of fire. Roberto is capable of reducing any rock he touches to a liquid form and manipulating the resulting lava for a near-limitless variety of uses; he can control the temperature of the magma, increase or decrease its viscosity, melt various objects into liquid forms, and more; he is also capable of triggering a small volcanic eruption to gain access to larger amounts of magma, but doing so will severely decrease his stamina. He can use the lava to create “springs” of sorts around his legs and leap incredible distances, and finally, in moments of crisis, he is capable of building a massive golem of stone and magma around his own body, which can match up to a Titan’s strength if the appropriate amount of lava is absorbed into the creation. Roberto is immune to the effects of his own powers; he will not be incinerated by the molten rock or heat he manipulates.
