My Finnish is super poor, but I think Ina is eating sugar-worms or something close to that, right?
Either way, that is definitely the look of someone who's gonna have a stomach ache in the morning. Personal experience.

I guess they are like shrimps, ”niljiäisiä”, which is a combination of words nilviäinen (mollusk) and niljakas (slimy). The very barrel they are eating from contains creatures that have been killed with a sugar cube, it’s sort of a flavor thing.

Ooh that's a nice idea
Bet they have an odd taste with the sweetness of the sugar and the salty taste those mollusks usually have.
Is that a real thing or did you come up with it for your art and characters?
I'd be willing to give it a try either way haha

Thank you! 😄 I made them up, I imagine that to humans they taste like raw kidneys filled with ink, but to them it’s pretty much like you said.
