The newest NPC member of this D&D crew:

Brynn is an aasimar, but not as you might be familiar with them. Aasimar in Zeytria were once divine creatures, sent by the gods on a mission of great importance, reborn as a mortal in the Material World. They have little memory of their life before, with brief visions and dreams to guide them on their quest and are otherwise integrated into the societies they are born into. Aasimar can look like any other mortal being, taking on traits of their mortal parentage, be they humans, elves or orcs. What sets them apart is from their divine heritage, something that would be a signifier of the god they serve. A common trait, seen across multiple aasimar, is warm, golden skin, but could also be unnaturally pale skin, metallic hair, or glowing eyes, giving them a charismatic or eerie grace about them which can draw attention or repel onlookers.

Brynn is rather unassuming, working in a music shop. Her divine origin is that of a muse or spirit of inspiration and her quest is to destroy a great shadow that casts itself over the land. Out of fear, she rejected this quest and instead focused on her own life, unaware of the stakes that would grow from her idlily standing by. It wasn't until she met a group of adventurers that she understood what she had to do, especially since one of them shared her same dreams.

Now Brynn is by no means a fighter, but she has other skills at her disposal. Her songcraft borders upon the magical, allowing her to weave magic into her vocalizations and lyrics, producing spells that can aid her allies and hinder her enemies. She was integral in fighting a Grell, an otherworldly predator that would have otherwise devoured the party if she did not frighten it with a mind-bending whisper. She still more often then not finds herself in danger from which she needs to be rescued, but she is determined not to become a burden on the party and trains with the others to hone her skills as a warrior.
