The earliest writings of Ein Zyklus describe them as beings that embody life, death and time, brought forth from the remnant creation energies in the early years of the world. The twin gods are unique as they seem to be brought forth from mortals yearning to understand the flow of time, thus calling them the gods of life and death would be far too limiting on their domain. Ein Zyklus are not just the beginning and then end of a life, but the dawn and the dusk. They are the rise of the first banner to the fall of a kingdom, a general’s rise and fall of glory, the start and end to notable moments in history are all overseen by them.

Like with most gods of the realms they do make physical appearances, but they never intervene in what is going on, only there to observe. Their forms have been noted to change from time to time, whilst their garbs stay the same their builds change to races that seem to be most fitting of the area or event that is happening.

Whilst most scholars agree that they do not fit within the creation category of gods, few agree that they belong in corruption, thus many have proposed creating a new category; Herald.
