Story time!
Back last year-ish (more Fall Semester '07) one night as I was waiting for my ride from school, I sketched up this lil' critter. Then it wasn't until sometime earlier this month that I used the sketch for some inking practice with brush pens and my Mircons.
But then I made a most interesting discovering when I went to go buy a replacement Primsamarker (one marker finally died XD).
I finally stumbled upon the recent Prismacolor Premier series, which had a few colors I've been looking for. The 2 (of the 4 I bought) I used here were Eggshell and French Grey 30%.
I was ecstatic to find gray at all. And there were at least 9 different kinds. |3; I only bought 2 but that was more than enough.
I think I should've left it just as the inks... personally.

you make some really interesting and weird little creatures! i wish i could use prismas the wya you and some other people on this site do, mine are tidied away because i never have time to play about with them XD this for some reason reminds me a bit of the Cheshire cat from alice in wonderland, great work x

"what the hell is that?!" is exactly what I'm thinking. Great design though. It's hard to find made up animals that are not just regular creatures with stuff added on. Great design.

Cheshire Cat meets Snarf--kinda creepy!
The hatching here not only provides texture to define the character, but it also grants thickness and depth. It enhances the mixture of the eggshell and French grey so that the creature almost looks tangible. It works all over this thing, especially in the eyes, which sparkle like marbles. What did you use to hatch, since the lines are so thin? Well done

i love the colorscheme, but i think the marker lines take away alot.
you know what's good for having really smooth colors are water colors or these markers called Copics. copics are really smooth in color tones, and they're also great for blending

hehe its a very interesting creature. its cute but also kinda... scary in a certain point of view. hehe well anyway i really like the way you drew it. the fluffy body and the head design ae pretty nice and well done. i like the way you did the lines and the coloring job is pretty well done too. very nice pic sweet. ^^
