This is essentually how he first saw them.

Shi: [link] He found her starting to freeze outside the tavern in the freezing rain.

Solo: [link] She happened to find him last winter, trying to wash himself in a lake/spring. He pretty much ran away afterwards.

Selene: [link] Not much to say, but she was at his table when he was looking after Shi. She was very calm and collected and it was a good rest from the other females around.
