Very nice, especially for hand-held self portrait. Excellent time of day and location to have shot; the light comes at a great angle, and makes for some lovely shadows.

thanks! yes, hand-helds can be tricky! I am glad you like the shadows, since it is not always a welcomed effect in portrait photographs.

Shadows I feel give the portraits a spirit, a depth, but I can see what you mean about shadows being undesired in certain types. This is one of the types I feel genuinely call for shadows to be effective, and I think the shadows present here do the job well: not too dark, not too light.
