Is this character in any way related to Darrell EvenFeather from Crikey Duck with Tania? Either way, love the character design from both this picture and the Crikey Duck comics

*cough* Given that Darrell and Ranger are my own original characters from long before the comic... yes, yes it is >_> Sadly, Crikey Duck is unlikely to ever continue due to various issues, not the least of which being relations between some of the people involved ending unhappily. Thank you, though

While the Darrell part of the pic is great (as always), I admit I'm wondering about his weird-looking gun. Is it a model that exists in the real world?

Nope, it's something weird-lookin' that I made up. They don't commonly exist in the story, either. Darrell had it specifically built for him, because bullets aren't cheap and sometimes you don't have the time to pull out a bladed weapon. This doesn't stop him from carrying two or three backup weapons somewhere on his person, though...
