Never heard of this car before, did they ever make them with the steering wheel on the left side?

Really like this, the minimalism works well for it.

Except....you drew the TA23

The TA22 is the original with the "slant nose", and is slightly shorter. The TA23 had the "flat nose", and was a little longer.

I know....because I have an RA21 that I am slowly building an 18RG to put in.

orly? I had to google TA22 and this seemed to be the look they all had that and the mustang look a like

First gen Celica's had a "face lift" for 1974 or 75...depending on country

The original had a more angled nose, and looked much less "mustang" like. Also, it was only offered as a coupe.

Then they switched to the flatter nose of the TA23/RA25 But, I just remembered...by running through a build on one of the Celica boards that I am a part of, is that they built a Few TA22 GTVs with the TA22 body cose, but with the later RA25 nose.

So, everything is fine Sorry for my mistake, but still, I love the art!

phantom: your correct that the car above is not a ta22, but almost all your info is wrong...

the car above is an "ra35 GTV coupe"

71-75 were ra22/ta22 models, with minor changes to interior, exterior, and motors along the way.

prototypes of the fastback was then modelled on the 22, for which the ra25 and ra35 and ra35 coupe were created.

these rare cars had either the fastback (mustang back) look with the 5 piece tail-lights and the longer nose with more squared off indicator lights etc..etc.. (too many differences to go through)

in 76, they brought forward most of the changes found in the ra25 and ra23, only the car itself was now heavier and wider than the ta22 frame. again with some interior/exterior and motor changes.

well spotted on the difference, but you gotta check your info before correcting someone on it.

blitz: dont worry bout getting it wrong, there are too many versions of these to know what's what if you aren't into them.

in future, if you need some pics, goto [link] goto the classic celica forum and the guys in there will give you some awesome references to use.
