Got a better pic of this.

This pic ended up placing first in the soliloquy! I was surprised that the first actual art competition I entered, I won! It was exciting! Also, changed the title to the title it had in the show, my friend Jeanne came up with the name

Anyways, about the pic.....This was a project for my art class. There's a list of themes that you can pick from, and I picked "The Beauty of Grey", which is also a theme for a 'soliloqy' (sp???) contest thing that I turned this in to.

The inspiration behind this came from when I was sick up in Yellowstone, and most of this was painted to a Van Halen song, and it just sorta popped into my head....I've always thought that ravens and coyotes have been the underdogs in the world, but I love em. In fact, the raven is my favorite bird Other than that, I can't really explain much about it Xo It's supposed to be sort of undefined and mysterious/ominous anyways, so choose your own meaning
I reffed the poses for anatomy and somewhat correct feathers, but other than that no ref used for detail or the BG. Done in ink on illustration board. Sorry the pic doesn't show much detail
