Description I came up with these two characters for a short game a wile ago, but I'm still toying with the idea of revisiting them for a longer project.
Anyway, I got the idea for this short comic by reading about how archaeologists have found cheaper versions made of the much sought after
Ulfberht swords, showing that the concept of bootleg copies of brand products was a scourge even more then a millennium ago.

Lucky thing for the monk (?) that he was so knowledgeable on the subject of swords.

Though being hit in the head with a 'Fakeberth' would of course have hurt him as much as if he had been hit with the real thing. I suppose he is being hit with the flat of the blade rather than the edge?

I see you go with the +VLFBERT+H  inscription rather than +VLFBERTH+ (both as I understand it existing variations) .

Yes, he's being hit with the flat side of the sword. I guess both of them easily let their ego get before basic sense and safety!

Not the sharpest knives in the drawer, heh.
