That was just soke wishful thinking while I read the books. I never quite agreed with Rowling making Harry never noticing Hermione, it never felt real.

I agree. It should have been Harry/Hermione, and Rowling even admitted this! I suspect she changed the storyline for the movie because it was hard to imagine Radcliffe with someone as awesome as Watson, they needed to give him Ginny so he doesn't seem that lousy of an actor in respect to her. A pity, really. U_U
