Far away, isolated from any civilization, in the depths of the forests, there was a house. Nobody ever dared to visit it due to various accidents that were connected with this forest. People that have tried approaching the house never returned. There seemed to be a curse on the house and its surroundings, leading to the conclusion that the whole forest was bewitched. What was it that radiated this power? This is yet unknown...

Quick side-project. I've always wanted to create a forest scene with some foggy atmosphere and all that, so here we go

Props to the guys at #SpaceArt for giving me some tips. Also, the title is taken from Dark Moor's "The Enchanted Forest". Pretty awesome song, if you ask me.

Edit (2/27/2010): After getting some feedback on this image, I decided to re-render the scene. So, what's new? We have now some lights in that house as well as some more vegetation on the ground. Depth of Field effect has been implemented, too and some minor edits. All in all, 31h32'30" of render time with 657,500,012 polygons. Remind me of buying a new computer as soon as I have the money.
