Watercolors and acrylic with a smattering of ballpoint pen.This is Nagami, 's character. She's normally seen in black and red leather, and has a penchant for fire manipulation. Done for an art exchange, of which I got this awesome character illustration : [link]
Anyway, some notes on the picture. Although Nagami seems to be a more futuristic character, I put her in a more fantasy setting, including a more fantasy-type outfit. Her character description suits both worlds, so here she is, in some type of lounge, enjoying a little down time. As for the pipe and hookah...as soon as I read that she could manipulate fire I had a mental image of her making pictures with smoke, sort of in the manner that I doodle when I'm on the phone.

This could sound weird but as of this moment you are now my favorte artist on DA. You are the only painter an almost only artist where I not only really love certain pieces but there is actually a consistency of wonderul pieces in your gallery.
If you ever feeing painting something for me, please feel free, because right now I am very jealous of miss or mister Cupcakes. haha.
Also. I am just now starting to pick up my childhood love for painting again, and am not adjusted to it yet or skillful, but If I could paint well,it's funny becase I always imagine it in the same style you show. Especially focusing on ashen toned people with some form of red on them, and lots of blue in the backround.. I have no idea why.=]
But yeah, just wanted take time to show my appreciation=]

This is so so so so so very good XD The only things I could really say is that the two top corners seem too dark. Mainly the top left. And the left eye is a bit too high, but that may just be the way the pose is.

Very, very well done. The theme, the style, the artistry of the expression. She seems as if she can manipulate minds with her mysticism in dosing them with drugged desire along with her forte of fooling with fire. The psychedelic Sorceress conjuring up and casting her sultry, seductive smoke spells sent so sensationally in swirls, spirals, and swells. The potent potion puffed from her pipe and proffered in pinwheels penetrating, permeating and powerful as well as the hypnotic and haunting haze of Her hookah combine to conjure the compelling creation of the Feminine Divine. The magical Mistress making mist quite clearly is a soul well versed in the witching ways of mind control. It would appear in blowing her mind blowing clouds at the crowds She has drawn an unwary subject into Mademoiselle's mesmerizing maze by the glossed over look of that gaze behind the haze.
