Yay, I have been practicing a lot, and finally I can present you my first perfect bag!
I found a great blog which explained me the making of a recessed zipper ([link] ). I used the pattern which I saw there (not exactly the same, I just made up my own on the basis of what I saw), because I really liked that shape.

I am very glad, because the outcome doesn't seem to be huge, still it can contain everything necessary (I usually take a tons of things with me, so inner capacity is an important issue for me); I also used interfacing, so it is sturdy and durable.

Its actual size is 13.8 inches by 9.45 inches (35 by 24 cm); 11.4 inches at the zipper (29 cm)
The sides are interfaced so it is sturdy and durable.

And now you can get a cute matching pouch for cosmetics, as well!!
