Description
Another Dan and Kari themed story I was toying with off and on for a couple years where they wind up going to another Zone by accident.
The idea was a Zone centric story that would make Kari a little disillusioned and influence her choice in not becoming a Zoner, thus leading her to Regan's group.

It didn't really start to take shape until news of manga that predated C'mon Digimon began surfacing on With the Will.
As it turns out they didn't predate C'mon, but it is a great look into the early days of Digimon as well as a great opportunity for more "prototypical" Zones.

Among these early Zones are King Zone, inspired from "Digital Monster: I'll Become the Digimon King!". Illustrated by Ten'ya Yabuno, who also drew C'mon and V-Tamer, it also features the distinctive prototype designs for the first V-Pet Digimon like Airdramon. The protagonists have such inspired names such as the lead boy "Digi-Kun" and his sister "Mon-chan". This seems to be a naming strategy used through out the other Encyclopedia themed manga such as Professor Pen Dulum. Digi and his coach, known only as "The Master" seem to borrow their designs from Kentarou and Shin'ichiro of C'mon who in turn were the prototypes of Taichi and Neo. While The Master has a Greymon, Mon isn't specified as having one but will probably have a Botamon for the Zone adaption.

The story goes that Tai and Kari visit Dan at Hub Academy and sit through a lecture by guest speakers, Prof. Pen Dulum and his assistant Marina Jogret of Digimon Institute and Prof. Agumon of Digital World University. Sabotage from an unusual Digimon during the lecture deposit Marina, Kari and Dan (Dulum picked the two Adventure Zoners as volunteers for his lecture) in the Waybama (Wayback Machine) Server's King Zone where they meet the brother and sister team facing their own crisis....!

Prof. Pen Dulum, Marina Jogret and the Digimon Institute originate from "Bandai's Official 'Digital Series' - Digimon Pendulum: Nature Spirits". In keeping up with the joke theme, Marina's surname seems to be a pun on Jogress.
