A conversation with my significant other inspired this silly mash-up of Tuxedo Mask and Mega Man, armed with a rose blaster (a nod to the original Sailor Moon anime  ). And thus, Tuxedo Man was born!

This piece was painted and animated in Photoshop CS5. As an aside, trying to figure out how to actually export this monstrous painting-turned-animation into a much smaller looping gif while still maintaining a reasonable image quality was a bit of a pain . If any one of you lovely folks has any suggestions about different file formats that can be looped on DA, or better ways for creating reasonably sized gifs, I am all ears and would love to know .

This character was inspired by:
Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon (c) Naoko Takeuchi and
Mega Man (from the Mega Man series) (c) Capcom

I also utilized some of these brushes leeislee.deviantart.com/art/Sp… created by leeislee to add a little bit of texture to my buildings underneath the window lights. These shadow textures were almost completely obscured after I blurred the background, but I would still highly recommend checking them out. They're a wonderful set of brushes and I for one am sure I'll use them again in the future  .

Lastly, I would also like to add that while I did not specifically reference his work in this piece, I did learn a lot from looking at MoonlightOrange 's work. The way he animates light in his otherwise mostly static illustrations is fascinating to me, and this served as a significant source of inspiration in terms of how I decided to compose this piece. Anywho, check out his work! It's absolutely gorgeous
