the brush strokes and color pallet of this picture is dark and eerie, and the silhouette is beautiful and equally creepy. I don't know wether to be horrified or amazed. Thank you for sharing =]

I think by misty underwater, it's just foggy, murky water.
Anyway, I love this piece. The fine, thin lines for whiskers, the tiny glowing eyes, and the dark, wispy background really give a sense of mystery and a spooky feeling. Awesome job.

we had catfishes before.....my uncle was stupid enough to leave them with us when i was five, adn they kept jumping out of the bucket D:

Really cute coelacanth-ish looking catfish there.
The only suggestion I might give would be refining the shapes some in other deviations. Here, the look is refined enough to fit the atmosphere very well.
