Your horses are beautifully drawn with all the right tones and shading in all the right places, and you seem to really have the overall build and structure of the animals down pat.
That said, I'd have to say that i think your backgrounds let you down a little bit. The horse is so fantastically done but the lower level of detail in the background draws the attention from the animal. Just a thought.
