Anasazi Petroglyphs in St. George, Utah. (just a change from my drawings, plus I thought I should upload something)

-- Petroglyphs (aka rock engravings) are created by removing part of a rock surface by carving/scratching. Petroglyphs can be found all over the world. Petroglyphs are often confused with Petrographs which are images painted or drawn onto a rock's surface. Many Native American used both Petroglyphs and Petrographs for a variety of reasons-- most commonly believed to tell stories or thank deities for a good hunt and etc.

-- It was awesome to see the beautiful work that has been left behind by the Natives, it was sad though to see that some people had tried to deface them or make their own carvings and disturb the ancient work.
