Now,if this isn´t one of the images you talk about when you say "i just wanted to get it done, finally", then there aren´t any like that at all.
I think i started this one back in February(!), worked on it for hours and hours and grew absolutely tired of it. I put it aside for a while, and whenever i told myself to get my ass up and finish this now - it annoyed me once again, over and over again.
Soo, now it happened - i finally applied the last tweaks and made it presentable. There are many many more things i could have done and added, but like i said, i just want to get over it.
Even though this is one of my best works so far, the whole thing was just too painful to rejoice about it now... also, this isn´t the style i want to keep for future works =/
Okay; with all that said, i hope that at least you are able to like this image

It was worth finishing! Fantastic image. Did you draw inspiration for the ship from any particular sources? It reminds me of the sort of stuff I used to design in Space Engineers.

That is one of the best things I've seen so far! "Starfighter" Is what it's suppose to say right? I think you did a perfect job, even if you did slack off, which we all do from time to time.

Cooool~ The feeling of the size is really well done in this one! I like the little details like the plans/maps on the right side and the containers on the ground. The glass floor just gives you the idea where you really are: In space!!Without it, it would just be another harbour.
crits: the fading could be light blue or any other colour instead of white to make it more natural.
and: the planet could be more glowing, and the glow could be another light source. thats not nessessary, but would give this piece more deepness!

Yeah, kinda agree. The whitish fading was done to make seem more like an inside-enviro, since blue-fading naturally only applies because of the blue sky. Still, it could have been done here anyway and might have really looked better =/
The planet might indeed shine a bit more, but if could be strong enough to be used as a lightsource... not sure if it would be able to light out the scene.

Das sind genau die Art Bilder, die einen ungemein weiterbringen. Man muss manchmal mal so richtig ans Limit gehen, um einen großen SChritt nach vorne zu schaffen.
Von ausschließlichen speedies komm ich auch nicht weiter :/

Jau haste recht, will mich auch dazu zwingen jetzt wieder etwas komplexere Bilder zu machen, die wirklich ans Limit bringen und es sprengen!
Dabei möcht ich mich aber am Stil von Sparth, Paperplue, Mullins etc orientieren... ich weiss ich weiss, nicht kopieren, klaro. Seinen eigenen Stil kann man sowieso nicht vollkommen ablegen, aber mir geht´s eher um diese Illusion von einer perfekten Szenerie obwohl alles dennoch recht durcheinander und ungeplant wirkt.... dann doch diese hervorragende Lichtverhätlnisse die es erst so richtig realistisch machen.... hachja! *schwärm*

Hmm jo stimmt schon, kommt halt weil ich hier erst n sauberes Lineart mit Perspektivraster und allem gemacht hab... Schiffe in dem Stil mag ich zwar, aber insgesamt geb ich dir dennoch recht.
Will wie gesagt eh nicht bei dem Stil bleiben...
