While Peakpaw was still in the medicine den, Thrifttuft becomes a full warrior in a mini ceremony with the two of them, honoring his justice. Thrifttuft decides to become the deputy, since he's older than Peakpaw.
The ground inside the camp has turned into a muddy mess from the rain. Thrifttuft sprains their paw while trying to walk through the muck. He couldn't believe his luck after becoming the newly pointed deputy.
