In the 1400’s, a man by the name of Vlad the Impaler was famous for his sick actions of Impaling his foes and forcing his enemies to eat the flesh of their loved ones. His gruesome legacy sparked the idea for goth horror story “Dracula” by Bram Stoker in 1897. It was this story where the legends of Vampires came to life and has been in almost every fictional novel and film to this date. Here two well-known Vampires of the fictional world will face off, one kills his own kind to save humanity while the other is a Lycan hunter;

Lucas Cross, Blade’s father and a member of the secret society the Order of Tyrana, sent his pregnant wife Tara to England before he was taken prisoner in Latveria. There Tara took the name Vanessa Brooks and found shelter with brothel owner Madame Vanity, another member of the Order of Tyrana. Experiencing labor complications, Tara was forced to seek a doctor's assistance immediately. They found a doctor by the name of Deacon Frost, who was actually a ravenous vampire and feasted on the woman as she gave birth, passing on a series of enzymes that altered her baby’s genes. The enzymes entered the infant's bloodstream, transforming him into a vampire but not a full vampire, half man half vampire. Frost was driven away before he could slay the child, but Tara didn’t make it leaving the orphaned Eric Brooks to be raised at Madame Vanity's brothel. Few years later Eric ran into an American Veteran Vampire Slayer, Jamal Afari and saved him from being killed by vampires. Afari learned about Eric and his past and decided to take him under his wing, becoming his mentor and foster-father and helped him to control his powers. Afari taught Eric everything he knew about hunting, fighting and killing vampires. Determined to avenge his mother's death, Eric became a vampire hunter like Afari while still a teenager and gave himself the name; Blade, after the sharp weapons with which he used to kill vampires with. Due to the fact that his mother was bitten by a vampire while giving birth to him, Blade was born with an immunity to the effects of vampire bites, the ability to "smell" supernatural creatures, an extended lifespan, and sensitivity to bright light. However, after being bitten by Michael Morbius The Living Vampire Blade gained various superhuman physical capabilities similar to those of vampires. Blade is strong enough to lift 1 ton, move at speeds greater than even the finest human athlete, his sense of sight and hearing are heightened to levels comparable to other vampires. He is capable of seeing objects with perfect clarity at much greater distances than an ordinary human, even in near-total darkness. Blade's hearing is enhanced, allowing him to detect sounds then an ordinary human can't and to be able to hear sounds an ordinary human can but at greater distances. Blade is also able to sense the presence of supernatural beings or forces, such as Shuma-Gorath, whereas an ordinary human would be oblivious to them. Blade's musculature generates less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human, so basically he can exert himself at high capacity for several hours longer than the average human, he will get tired afterwards. He can withstand powerful energy blasts, exposure to extreme temperatures, and take great impact forces without being injured. He's been seen tanking a blast from Lilith herself and walks away with minor burns and injuries. Blade possesses a healing factor; which that allows him to heal mild to moderate injuries with much greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. Blade is capable of healing from severe cuts and puncture wounds within a matter of seconds to minutes depending on the severity of the wound. Wolverine himself even stated that his regeneration was almost on par with his during his fight with blade in the Civil War. However, he is not able to regenerate missing limbs or organs. Vampires have numerous vulnerabilities; which Blade is totally immune too. For example, Blade is unaffected by direct exposure to sunlight, whereas most vampires are quickly incinerated when exposed directly to sunlight. Vampires are also highly allergic to silver, supposedly because of the metal's mystical purity. So silver blades or bullets are capable of killing vampires, Blade himself could be injured by a silver weapon, but his healing powers would be able to heal it as if it were an ordinary wound. Blade is also immune to the effects of religious icons, such as crucifixes, where vampires are rendered almost powerless when confronted by them. Blade is an expert in hand-to-hand combat being very skilled in multiple martial arts such as Hapkido, Karate, Jujitsu, Kung Fu, Capoeira, and Jailhouse Boxing. He is an expert marksman but usually use’s bladed weaponry, hence the name. Blade has a small arsenal of weapons: teakwood daggers; Adamantium, acid-etched swords; Kevlar body armor; automatic and semi-automatic firearms converted for use with hollow-point, garlic-filled silver bullets; and a variety of portable, custom-designed weapons that employ silver, garlic, sunlight, ultraviolet rays and anti-coagulants. Blade is practically proficient in every form of weaponry known to man, he is a master in the use of small bladed weapons and can hurl knives with great accuracy. His main weapon is his tempered titanium, acid etched, soft steel core blade. He is apparently a skilled jazz trumpeter (Little fun fact, Jazz Vampire Slayer lol). Blade is fluent in English, German, Romanian, Japanese and is proficient in driving cars, motorcycles and various other vehicles when needed. When he was Spider Hero, he showed exceptional greatness in sorcery and the supernatural. He assumed that Photon's light mimicry of Shuma-Gorath's shields would buy them time, and was able to guide Power Man to utilize his chi in much greater and diverse ways that he never had before, creating an astral tiger to defeat him on both levels as he had theorized. Blade is a one man army, he has slain multiple vampires on his own, killed his mother’s killer, killed Dracula himself multiply times, has fought another version of himself, defeated Lilith and her army of demons with Ghost Rider and Dr. Strange, fought Ghost Rider, has teamed up with the Punisher to kill vampires, after teaming up with the X-Men he even became a teacher of how to kill vampires. Blade does have his weakness; like all vampires he needs to ingest blood in order to stay alive. Rather than consuming blood, he injects a specially designed serum that provides even better nourishment that blood would provide. If Blade doesn't drink the serum for an extended period of time, he will weaken and his self-control will be stretched. Blade does have a huge amount of blood-serum in his inventory and actually never runs out of energy. One serum is enough for 24 hours of extended combat or he can use it to quickly recover from grave wounds. His skeletal muscles are denser, more efficient and faster, allowing him to produce short and fast burst of excessive force but requires a lot of stamina. As far as supernatural forces, Blade is one of the few not to mess with.

Selene- vampire an main protagonist of the Underworld series. Selene was born to a Hungarian family sometime in the 1380’s. Her father was a well-known architect who helped design a fortress for a Vampire general, Viktor which was designed to imprison the Werewolf William Corvinus, who was condemned for his bloody and destructive behavior. To keep the location of William's prison a secret, Viktor killed Selene's entire family but couldn’t kill Selene because she reminded him of his deceased daughter, Sonja, who he had killed after she became pregnant by a Lycan. Instead, Viktor made her a Vampire and raised her to slay Lycans; a second breed of Werewolves that descend from William Corvinus. He lied to her, telling her a pack of Lycans had killed her family in hoping that she would never betray the species as Sonja had. In retaliation, Selene became a Death Dealer and began to hunt and kill Lycans, intending to drive them into extinction. For the next 600 years, Selene remained loyal to Viktor and never believing anything ill of him. After discovering a Lycan lair, Selene tracks down the human she believes the Lycans have an interest in: Michael Corvin who is then bitten by a Lycan. After saving Michael and Michael saving Selene, the two team up and after discovering Viktor was the one who killed her family she saves Michael and avenges her family by slicing Viktor’s head in half. Because she was sired by Viktor, an Elder, Selene's Vampiric abilities are much stronger than most of her Vampire kin and becomes significantly stronger after the consumption of Alexander Corvinus's blood; the father of the first vampire (Marcus Corvinus) and werewolf (William Corvinus). Selene is tough as she can jump at least 100 feet high and land without injury, can take a shotgun blast to the abdomen without flinching, perform amazing feats of strength without fatigue, and can withstand the crushing depths of the ocean without a wetsuit or breathing apparatus. Selene is even much stronger than humans and most other supernatural creatures; She is able to kill younger Vampires with just a few blows and manhandles four police officers with ease, be able to engage Lycans in close quarter combat without being harmed even before becoming infected with the Corvinus Strain, after her infection she is shown to be able to ram her arm through a Lycan in battle and has also gone toe-to-toe in physical fight against Marcus; the first Vampire and a Hybrid. She’s strong enough to flip a van at a momentum equal to 180 tons. She is also immune to the Lycanthropy virus as a Vampire-Corvinus Strain Hybrid. After becoming a Vampire-Corvinus Strain Hybrid, her healing powers were increased dramatically to the point where she could withstand Marcus's wing talon being impaled through her chest without suffering any visible effects and survive after being shot in the head and other parts of her body. She is also able to force bullets out of her body. Selene is quick enough to sprint by and incapacitate a group of police officers without them being able to keep up with her movements, she demonstrates speed akin to teleportation when she breaks into a scientist's apartment and moves right next to him in an instant. Selene is able to perform athletic moves, such as doing a back-flip into a hole in a bridge, leaping from tree to tree in an instant, and wall crawl up walls like an insect. Due to being a Vampire-Corvinus Strain Hybrid, Selene possesses a pure Immortal's immunity to UV light and is now able to walk in the sunlight. Now for the weapons, Selene is extremely proficient with many kinds of weapons, both medieval and modern. Her weapons of choice are the Walter P99A, the Modified H&K USP 9mm, silver nitrate grenades and throwing stars. She also uses silver-plated hunting knives and a Middle Age sword, which she used to slice Viktor's head in half. Selene favors a pair of Beretta handguns and Walther P99s and is also proficient with a Remington 870 Combat Shotgun. Selene is most often shown to be stoic, serious, cold and detached, as she seldom smiles and is not known for possessing a sense of humor. She is headstrong and stubborn, even to a fault, refusing to walk away during suspicious activity or until the task at hand is completed and is fiercely independent. However, despite Selene's stony exterior she is not entirely apathetic, she tends to become distressed and vengeful when those she cares about are threatened, injured or killed. She has also shown a degree of morality; she makes it clear in the novelisations in particular that she will not drink human blood and takes a degree of care to avoid collateral damage in her fights when forced to engage the enemy in public. She is a supernatural nightmare; not only did she kill a vampire elder but also killed Marcus Corvinus the first vampire, and killed Quint who was experimented on that achieved a super Lycan form. Do not underestimate Selene, those that do… don’t live very long…
