Do you play multiplayer much? The mod i'm playing with on multiplayer has it so you can fly all the nomad ships, all the battleships and lots of custom ships like the tie interceptor and Voyager.
You should try it. If you do tell me and i'll help you get started, it's a nightmare starting off.
