.::Fullview recommended::.The latest incarnation of my roleplaying character Denise Caffran. I swear, she's been through more redesigns than all my other charaters put together...
Made without reference this time.

Photoshop, Wacom, around 6 hours
[edit 1:] Before we get started on the same discussions that went on in the other images of her: She's MEANT to be that buff! She is _not_ meant to be a standard, run-of-the-mill babe. Yes, that may not be sexy, but that's not the intent either.
[edit 2, later:] *Sigh* Ok, here's a slightly edited version of a reply I gave to a comment further down (and bear in mind this is not the first image I post of this character, hence my growing irritation):
"Sheesh, you'd think it was against the law to draw women that don't look like they belong in a Victoria's Secret catalogue...
Sorry, I'm not mad at you guys personally, it's just that almost all the comments I've gotten on this character up until now are like "hey, she not sexeh! Why she not sexeh?! I no understand why she not sexeh!!".
My whole point of making this character was to make her definately not sexy...in the slim hope that she towards the end of the campaign could have a sorta "beauty comes from the inside"-epitaph. Oh well, can't win 'em all I guess..."
Don't worry, I won't bother you with any more images of her. I'll be sure to make all my drawn women blonde bombshells in tight fitting leather outfits from now on. Oooh, ohh, and perhaps I'll also give 'em little bunny ears! And make 'em wink and make peacesigns at the camera! Yeah, that would be neat! *sigh*

At first, when I saw the picture, I was scared of her, but I full sized it and saw a lot in her eyes. (Amazing that you can do that by the way.) She really is beautiful and you just have to like curves and muscle.
I really wish you wouldn't let rude comments stop you from drawing more of her. She looks so interesting, so beautiful, so courageous...and someone who would kick your arse if you got on the wrong side of her. Someone who if I couldn't be, I'd at least like to be with.

Well I for one think she looks really cool. Sure she looks like she has beard stubble, but what man would have that gorgeously curved, muscular body, really? Obviously she's not meant to be a doll, not much point in complaining that she isn't. Nice choice of colors and lighting. The highlight on her left hip is a bit too bright as have been mentioned, but otherwise I can't find anything I don't like about your coloring. Lovely!
And please don't stop posting these, it's nice to see heroines/villains that are out of the ordinary, for once.

I dunno.. I think slightly muscly butch women are plenty sexy. She's pretty hot, but my own quip is her figure. She almost seems too skinny and curvy in the waist area. The shape just seems unnatural to me, but it may just be the angle. Great work none the less! Mrow!

the light on the bottom left of her shirt is pretty heavy, I think you should tone it down a bit. and let her show a little skin on the bottom right. I'm not saying that because I think that would be hotter, it's just that the shirt appears to be extremely long

I kinda agree with lightchaser, tho I dont think its the muscles, Iv seen women with some muscle and they still looked good.
Its the face...that is not a woman's face...thats the face of a 30 year old male drill sargeant.
Tho overall the piece is still well done...just creepy looking character.

Dont get me wrong, I apprciate a "Real" woman, its just the face on this character looks really overly male in the creepy cut and paste kinda way that you see them do in gags on movies/TV sometimes.
But then from what you said maybe thats what you wanted.
