.:: Fullview recommended ::.Always have loved Warhammer 40.000. But it's very rare I've actually made any fanart for it. Since seeing `ukitakumuki 's recent 40K image I got inspired to making my own. So here it is, hopefully the first of more to come. And the concept of space mariens versus orks never grow old...

I agree with *JoshDHallett: bright colours are almost unknown to the 40k universe. It makes the heat of battle more tangible, it looks like flamethrowers everywhere ^^

Ukitakimuke has inspired me to go and do some Warhammer stuff as well, and I only wish I had a better grasp of the universe (and maybe a better grasp on my wacom pen). Oh, by the way, check out Kunnka's (I believe that is how you spell it) Warhammer piece too, its excellent as well.
Your piece is somewhat original to the warhammer universe. Most Warhammer artwork I've seen drenches the battlefield in dark tones, gritty textures and the like. Yours, however, bathes the battlefield in an unexpected bright light, a marvelous contrast to the otherwise chaotic and dismal warhammer 40k universe.
