This is fantastic. It sort of feelings like the ghost of a painting. Also, and maybe you have explained this before, but OIL ACRYLIC??
Do you mean you used oil over acrylic?

it may be a typo, but I know on one of his other pieces it did say "oil and acrylic", so yeah the usual technique is to build up the surface with acrylic first and then go over that with the oil-based paints. although some of us don't really care to follow the rules, or give a damn about longevity.

Ooooo... How do you get such lovely textures? Please do a brief step by step series of pictures or tutorial if you feel comfortable doing so...
