theres a small flash behind him and barely out of frame on each side blasting him in the head
very close to his face is a big white board (with a hole cut in it for the camera to go through), like for a presentation, the material of this board will determine how the light gets bounced back onto the face, if its super shiny it will stay hard, if its those little styrofoam beads it will bounce the light in every direction and at that distance and size it will spread like butter
you play with the distances of these things to get the ratios right, you can stick some solid color or whatever in there for the background, shapped into something apealing
