skyfishes are my closed species! im not totally done yet writing their info but here's some stuff:

skyfishes are born from stray thoughts, and feed off of thoughts too. they can turn invisible to sneak up on others and eat their idle thoughts, leaving their victim suddenly not remembering what they were thinking about at all! more powerful ones often grow a horn and have some additional powers such as shapeshifting a little based on the thoughts they recently ate.

they don't breed, have human-like teeth, no bones in their arms and body waist-down. they float through the air emitting clouds from their body (mostly in predetermined shapes), and when happy, they can breathe rainbows through their gills (not their mouth!)

this one in particular has quite a few uncommon traits, and is of the colourful variety.
