I don't think I'll be able to articulate it well but I feel like this works well with "Calm Down" -- mostly because of opposites.
One shows a trapped creature whose long timeline of struggle is encapsulated in a snapshot showing both anger and futility. The shows a goddess like form, with focused intent and exuding power.
One is portrayed in blacks and whites the other with intense shades of colors. Yet the two share stark contrasts with their backgrounds.

Ah, I see! It's an interesting interpretation of the two drawings.

I guess I confuse myself a lot.
The figure is so "still" at a physical level but I'm sensing this intense internal conflict. Maybe I'm just projecting too much of myself into the "doodle".
Thank god it's just a doodle and not serious art.

Actually, you're kind of close. Since I often draw characters of mine from stories, there are reasons as to why they are portrayed certain ways. This character is from a little story that I'll never release or fully explain to people (for certain reasons). However, in the scene that this drawing is from, the subject is very much bound to the point where there is nothing that he can do. He's captured. Despite this, on the inside he's screaming, fighting.
Hmm...yeah...

Good choice with positioning.
I'm obsessed with the implicit "conflict".
It is surprising that a drawing can
so strongly convey a sense of struggle
while at the
same time presenting
bonds
that effectively
appear absolute.
Amazing use of: blacks & whites with just a few grays.

I'm impressed with this work, but I just can't "go there, now".
Sorry.

I am curious about what nuances the o Ao adds to the "Meow". Is that a verbalization?

This is a very emotive piece. I love how you've put it together and created the creases in the clothing/straight jacket.

Although the mood being quite down, the art that comes out of it is amazing.

It also reminds me of Elfen Lied... but I won't get into that because I know you don't like the character.

Ha ha ha, interesting that you see that~ Is it the whole binding that reminds you of the character?

Yeah, the mask, the jacket, all that. The restraints plus headgear, I think that's it.
