Description A quick doodle I produced this morning whilst taking notes for one of my essays, based on the original 1966 cyberman costumes. There's something about those costumes that is just so wonderfully creepy. I suppose it probably boils down to the fact that compared to their later counterparts, a lot more of their human roots are still visible, especially the fleshy hands (represented here with the pink forehooves)

And before anyone asks, no I haven't actually seen 'The Tenth Planet' yet. The animated episode four is still on my bucket list

MLP:FiM owned by Hasbro.

It's weird to be used to the New Who Cybermen, then go back and hear the 1st Doctor Cybermen. New Who Cybermen sound emotionless, but can still be clever. The way the first Cybermen have their voices modulated, makes it sound like they're insane.

Indeed, but at the same time you must remember that Cybermen are meant to sound emotionless, given that they've had emotions removed in the conversion process

Rob, This one looks like you put the robot behind bars (In prison) since you used this kind of paper.

I always find it more easier to draw in landscape

That, and a prison cell with wire thin bars sounds like a ludicrous idea, if I do say so myself

I think "More Easier" is repeating what you're saying, At the moment I don't know the grammatical term for it but do you want to look into it? I think when grammatically correct it is "easier" and not "more easier," I'm just pointing it out. Yeah I do want to get 800/800 on the GED.

And as for thin bars, I agree but if they're designed to keep a robot in a room and are lasers that would melt metal it wouldn't be necessary to have them very thick unless the robot could shrink itself.

Also, Even if the spelling checker doesn't pop up it doesn't mean there isn't a typo! I typed "Think" instead of "Thick" in this reply before correcting it.

Minus the beep and boop and with "I'm" instead of "I Am", That's what I thought part of the lyric for "El Scorcho" is. I think it fits in with the song though.

Well, logically speaking, if it DIDN'T care, then technically it wouldn't care to carry out the Cyberman objective of converting all living things into more Cybermen, so if it didn't care, it wouldn't get anything done.

I haven't seen much of the classic Cybermen, but I'll give them this much: their legs are usually much quieter. Seriously, all that stomping around the new-age Cybermen do drives me up the wall after awhile.

Does that depend on the meaning of the word in a particular context, Though? I can use words in many ways.

Scyphi In reply to BarryFromMars [2014-05-12 03:21:01 +0000 UTC]

True, but I don't know if a Cyberpony, being one for logical and definitive thinking, would apply to that.

Or, ironically, care.

Yeah, it reminds me of a comment by Anneke Wills who played the companion Polly during the mid 1960s Who episodes. She believes that, whilst the newer models do have the advanced look, they haven't got a patch on the movement or voices of the classic cybermen.

The tenth planet is my favourite dr who story because of these cybermen.
They are so creepy that I've spent many nights unable to sleep because of the face at the end of episode 1.
I can also recite episode 4 and most of episode 2 off by heart.
Yeah...

(Seriously though, the DVD is worth the money, but it lacks a serious amount of special features)
((And if you want a copy of spare parts, just I'm me and I can send my cd rip))
