I like how the fork tears the strawberries' skin and I like the texture of the white thing underneath it. How do you get the white thing to fade out into the untextured white above it?

As a result of flash there wasn't a whole lot of texture left in the upper parts of the background, but I evened it out with a low-opacity white brush in PS.
