Only the commissioner, Ndgmtlcd (???), can really answer this question, but, anyway, guess I figured out the scene here: Elena (the one holding one cup) is all scratched and dirty, her boots soiled. I bet she just dug up the cups and both them are examining their discovery.
(She soiled her hands while the one in green was just busy there being so pretty... how unfair that division of labour
