These are some sketches I've dug up from the past year that don't really fit anywhere and never really went anywhere. The girl and the dog were sample sketches for a weird T-Shirt guy's thing that didn't really go anywhere. The scarecrow was just me playing with Wizard of Oz scarecrow ideas. The monstery things were kind of caricatures of the two guys who spoke at my school about working on Starship Troopers and dinosaur documentary stuff. The monk and sweeper were takes on Terry Pratchett descriptions.Related content

As always it's a grab bag of visual fun! I love them all and I'm glad to hear you too are a Terry Pratchett reader. Have you checked out the new art book that came out just before Christmas? Great stuff in there...alternate cover art, character sketches and just some all around funny bits thrown in for good measure. I got it for Christmas and I can't stop looking through it at all the little details. Definitely check it out if you haven't already.

Paul Kidby's Discworld stuff? I am definitely a fan! I've got his Pratchett Portfolio, the Discworld RPG book he illustrated, Last Hero, and Nanny Ogg's Cookbook. He's got a very good mix of caricature and solid design behind his stuff that I just dig a lot. Yeah, I'll definitely look into getting the Art of Discworld.

Wasnt Kidby the guy who did the earlier cover art? Cause if it is the book wasnt by him. Its by the new guy who is doing the latest stuff and some of the companion books.
