We are planning to retire these two at the end of the year after the Natural Drafter's Championship show. We'll miss them in the ring, they've matured into wonderful mares with strength and eagerness to spare. The sport is hard on the knees though, and the back, and the heart. They haven't shown any signs of pulling-related stress or injury, but we prefer to retire them on the safe side.

We were quite happy to see that there was one more weight pulling show before the year end championship that we could slip them into. We'd heard there were some interesting and possibly somewhat unnatural things afoot at Forget-Me-Not Fields, but we decided to chance it. These girls are pretty fearless and down to earth, we think it'll take more than some spooky spectators to get them riled up.
