The Icon of France. World's upside down though, you would think this would exist in a much larger country like the United States that needs high speed trains as an alternative to stinking airports.

Alas, the Europeans have realized the potential of high speed passenger rail and poured endless amounts of money into it, whereas we in the states have not. Delays via Amtrak are to be expected, and are practically normal fare since the trains have to route among freight trains on freight rail. The schedules of Amtrak would be considered shockingly late and inefficient compared to the likes of SNCF...
