Isn't it so unique? He's got one of the most unique personalities I've seen, and he's so old-fashioned and classy. He carries himself so nicely, it really is incredible that he's still single. He's such a hopeless romantic, too, I just don't see how it's possible! He's practically everything I'd look for in a man. I really do hope he finds the perfect woman someday. :3
It really is a miracle. He doesn't seem to fit in in this century, does he? But I guess that's part of what makes him so special. He mostly seems to be teased about his name, of all things.

I think that's the reason everybody is falling for him xD Because he's not your typical 'hot' guy, he's a lot more. And he's literally one of the best actors I've seen!
I guess he must have reserves about going out with anyone, probably something to do with his celebrity status :> You wouldn't want your love life plastered over the internet. >_>
Maybe he really is Doctor Who! (/^W^)/ And he refused to act it cause he has to go back to the 18th century after he's finished season 4 sherlock anyways. :3

I know! He's so unique and beautiful! So atypical and in such a great way. He's got such a personality and he's so clearly intelligent and intellectual. Way above the Hollywood gossip, you know?
I don't blame him for not going around dating everyone. Especially out in the open. Paparazzi and such would drive me nuts. I respect him that much more for maintaining a private life. He seems like such a great guy. I'm sure he also has those "Hollywood-type" girls all over him who aren't looking for a legitimate relationship, where he seems like he really is. He frequently talks about how he wants a wife and children and makes little side comments like that. But these are just my theories - you never know!
Haha maybe you're right - maybe he's the Doctor. It would definitely explain a lot. Though he doesn't seem quirky enough...maybe he's just really good at hiding it? Hmmm.....keep your eyes open for the TARDIS!

But his acting! 0A0 He seriously looks like a different person every time he takes on a role, not only because he dyes his hair xD

Haha ditto! All my friends are like, "WHAT?! One of your most favorite actors is an old man?! What about One Direction?". Hahahaha. I've never been one to go with the crowd. Never into the pop stars of my generation. The older, classy, men are my type.
He absolutely deserves a "real" woman someday. I feel bad for him because you can often hear him (in interviews) saying that, by 32, he wanted to be able to say that his biggest accomplishment would be getting married to a wonderful woman. He always talks like he wants a wife and kids, which I find to be a very admirable trait in men. Very sweet.
I know! He really *becomes* the character he's portraying. He really gets into it - from appearance to personality. It's incredible. You can see it, you can hear it....his performances are all so convincing. I'd love to see him in Frankenstein!!
He really is wonderful. I've really been wanting to see Third Star, but it's nearly impossible to get your hands on a copy in the US. I could watch it through computer streaming if my computer wasn't broken. :/ Technology doesn't like me. v.v
I do love him as Sherlock, though. I did see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and War Horse, but that's it for Benedict movies for me. Out of those, I definitely love him as Holmes the most. Like you said, he's so eccentric and wonderful. Though a jerk to most people, and generally snobby, he is fantastic.

I first heard of One Direction when my friend was screaming about them and I swear I heard 'Wonder Erection' >____>' So I had my...suspicions...from the very start. They look like freaking twelve year olds! D< I mean really! D:
I seem to like all the weird sort of actors. Or unconventional. or just 'old', according to my friend xD
I was never into anything 'conventional' really. I had my head in a cloud of tomboyish ignorance until year 7 >__<'
So I doubt I ever will be
But I love and have loved a lot of strangeish actors. Johnny Depp was first (I'm over him now though Cx) And have had a string of purely hypothetical celebrity best friends since then xD All the nicest people seem to be 30 years my senior and in show biz ;W;

I do hope he finds someone ;W; But its probably hard for him to meet everyday women because they just go 'Ohmygod! You're like totally Sherlock! Squeeee!' *clicks of cameras flashing*
But I like to think I'm more than a fangirl >__>' I don't squeal much. But I'd really rather just sit down and talk about the weather or the original sherlock holmes books, y'know? D: (although he's probably had enough talking about Holmes on those talk shows xD)
Granted he can be frigging adorable at times. Like when he says 'Oh my God!' and looks like a little kid, or when he says 'put the fridge in the food.' >w<

That reminds me, I did actually see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, but I didn't really get into his work until after I saw it so I didn't really appreciate his scenes ;^; He barely looked like himself though. so posh and blonde.
I do just absolutely love the character of Holmes, from the books to the TV series ;^; It's looks like so much fun to act and so interesting and everything. I think it's the whole 'real but Larger-Than-Life' feel that draws me to actors and movies so much. ;^; That's why I really enjoy the character Johnny Depp plays- Tim Burton just paints his characters so vibrantly and Depp just brings them to life.
