Description Mechanical pencil, drawn in 1,5 hr today.

The dragon and the wizard share a complex relationship: Sshamathossarl acts as a guardian, spy and tutor in the arts of shadow magic while she expects her 'little illusionist' to bring her treasures, let her hide in his shadow to observe his day-to-day activities, and to have him become her means of influencing the world of mankind... the same mankind that has driven her and her kind near to extinction. Sshamath is a shadow dragon from the D&D gameworld and is evil at heart, and the cunning wizard's balancing between keeping true to himself and at the same time making Sshamath believe they are without grudges.

Who knows if the mage's shadow will manage to corrupt him to her own whim?

I wanted to create some tension with the dark and white spaces and through the positioning of the illusionist wizard.
Note to self: need to work on the dragon's pose and how the two interact.

I uploaded this image as tribute and thank you for all the favourites and watchers... and for the almost 10,000 pageviews. Thanks everyone!

Nice job but why dragon genocide, even if against evil ones? I mean it is kinda sad to see that thing in stories, especially if dragons looks near.

Alas, what mankind doesn't understand it must destroy...

That, and surely the dragons posed more of a threat than a convenience when living nearby.

At least this mage has a companion quite like no one else.

Very interesting story, and the image is quite appealing!
Both have subtlety, which I like.

Does the wizard have a name?
The idea of playing a game of control with shadows reminds me of Quick Ben from Steven Erickson's Malazan Book of the Fallen.
