Well, here you are; I decided to finish this painting, after about three months of it being created, and sitting in my computer, waiting for the right time to be finished.This is Elle Driver (aka California Mountain Snake), of Kill Bill fame. Played by the lovely and talented Daryl Hannah.
I drew this from a promotional photograph of her. I tried by best to accurately portray Ms. Hannah's looks, and I think I did pretty good.
Took me forever to paint. The hair was the second hardest thing to do - her face and flesh tones were the hardest.
The black outline on her face and her suit might look out of place, but I wanted to leave them there, probably gives it a more cartoon-feel.
I hope you like what I've done
I might do another Kill Bill fanart, as you already know, I have a boner for this movie.

Looking back on this painting, I do agree with you and others, the black line is ... what's the word - overbearing and makes it look less real, I think. I liked it before, but now I don't, haha. (I was a bit wary about painting a jawline, actually. I've never painted one before, you know, using colours and not lines, so yeah... I think I should give it a try one day.)

Your chin lines are too firm for such gentle coloring. secondly the blouse line also detracts from the subtle color that runs throughout the piece. Good work Loz.

seriously, you do hair really well these dais. and the skin tones are terriffic. it shows that you spent time on them. i want a tablet too.
i fucking haff that exact hair color. but my hair is thin and flat, not wavy and soft like that. U_U

Great work matess! (which isthe female version of mate.) I'd have thought the hair was the hardest part: it's so detailed! virtually every strand is drawn. It's amazing!
You have a skill with using outlines, I must say. You know just where to put them. I think they look just fine.

hah.. at first glance at the thumbnail i thought it was that crazy lady from Twin Peaks.. The hair is well done indeed, and i also like her nose. (i find them very hard to draw)
