Yes, another piece based on the original Kid Icarus game on the NES. There's a LOT I need to explain here.
First of all, this is actually a celebratory piece: I FINALLY got past the Underworld today and blew through the Overworld, then lost my momentum in Skyworld. Oh well. Taking a break, and I'll get back to it later.
So, I wanted to draw something KI-related, but not Uprising... so this came to mind. You'll probably recognize Pit's design as the design I came up with for bitty!Pit () so he looks a little less like a cherub. As for the Hewdraw?

Hewdraw's original artwork was pink.
I decided to go with blue because 1) his sprite in the game itself if blue and 2) he's mostly blue in Uprising. Didn't want to confuse everyone. His head came out kind of large, but a lot of the original art of Kid Icarus was pretty comical-looking... so I'm happy.
I guess I've been trying to give the original cast and art a more anime-ish twist to coinside with Uprising while still keeping inspiration from the original style. Probably do a fight with Pandora next... we'll see.
